「手毬金魚」とは、パーツ作りから組み立てまで、全ての工程を刺繍の技術で立体に作り上げた、刺繍製の金魚人形です。
Temari Kingyo is an embroidered goldfish doll, crafted entirely using embroidery techniques, from making each individual part to assembling the finished three-dimensional piece.
これは私が「刺繍造形」と名付けた、独自の製作手法です。
日本で一針一針、手縫いで完成させています。
This is an original technique I developed and named “Embroidery Sculpture.” Each piece is entirely hand-stitched, one stitch at a time, in Japan.
今回お届けする金魚たちは、アーティスト仲間の友人から提案された「夢色」と「紫陽花」というアイデアから着想を得たものです。
The goldfish I’m offering this time was inspired by the ideas “Dream Colors” and “Hydrangea,” suggested by a fellow artist friend.
こだわっている部分は尾ひれ。
オーガンジー刺繍で花を散らし、透け感を残しながら繊細に仕上げています。
The tail fin is a special highlight of this piece. Delicate flowers are embroidered onto organza, preserving its sheer, translucent quality.

※ワイヤーを使用しているためヒレの形を変えることができますが、その動作によって刺繍がよれたり浮いてしまう可能性があるので、あくまで観賞用としてご利用ください。
※ワイヤーがわずかな量でも水で濡れると、糸が緑青色に変色したり、金属が腐食してしまいます。完全に乾いた手で触れてください。
※特に尾は極細のワイヤーを使っていて、全体の刺繍糸も摩擦で毛羽立つと光沢を失います。繊細にお取り扱いください。
※クローゼットなどへ長期間しまい込む時は、直射日光を避けてドール用の防虫剤と一緒に保管してください。
※配送中の衝撃で、造花や金魚の位置がずれてしまうことがあります。お手元に届いた際に、金魚が居心地よさそうな位置に調整して頂けますと幸いです。

* As each piece is entirely handmade, slight variations in colors, patterns, and facial expressions are to be expected.
* Colors may appear differently depending on your device or screen settings.
* The fins contain wire, allowing you to gently adjust their shape. However, repeated adjustments may cause the embroidery to wrinkle or lift. This piece is intended for display only.
* Even a small amount of water can cause the embroidery thread to turn a greenish-blue color due to corrosion of the wire. Please handle the piece only with completely dry hands.
* The tail fin contains especially fine wire, and friction can cause the embroidery threads throughout the piece to become fuzzy and lose their sheen. Please handle with care, as this is a delicate work of art.
* If storing the piece in a closet or other enclosed space for an extended period, keep it away from direct sunlight and store it with an insect repellent designed for dolls or textiles.
* The artificial flowers or goldfish may shift during shipping due to impacts. When your piece arrives, we would be grateful if you could gently adjust the goldfish into a position where it looks comfortable.
* Gift wrapping is not available, as international shipping agents may repackage the item for overseas delivery.
【最後に】
作品名の「花うつつ」とは、夢現のうつつという言葉。
そして花が水面に映る、尾へ移る…のうつすという幻想的な言葉と、音遊びからつけた名前です。
【A Final Note】
The name of this piece, “Hana-utsutsu,” draws inspiration from the Japanese word utsutsu (現), meaning reality or the waking world, as in yume-utsutsu (夢現), the dreamlike state between dreams and reality.
It also plays on the sound utsu (うつ), evoking the image of flowers reflected on the water’s surface and their colors transferring onto the goldfish’s tail.
It is a name born from the dreamlike beauty of the words themselves and a playful exploration of sound.

さみしがりやの金魚は勇気を出して進みます。
思うまま、何かを感じるまま、前へ前へ進みます。
やがて明るい場所にたどり着きました。
咲き誇る花は水面にとりどりの色を落としています。
なんて きれいなんだろう
見惚れているうちに金魚は
自分のからだが紫陽花と同じ色に染まり
尾にも花が宿っていることに気がつきました。
なかまに いれてくれるの？
金魚はその景色の一部となり
もう孤独を感じることはありませんでした。
“I want to meet someone.”
The lonely goldfish gathers its courage and moves forward.
Following its heart and whatever feelings arise, it keeps moving onward.
At last, it reaches a bright and beautiful place.
Flowers in full bloom cast a myriad of colors across the water’s surface.
“How beautiful…”
As the goldfish gazes in wonder, it notices that its body has taken on the same colors as the hydrangeas, and that flowers have blossomed upon its tail.
“Will you let me join you?”
The goldfish becomes part of the scenery,
and it never feels lonely again.
